Don’t you Worry About A Thing, SCANDAL is BACK

Ok I am soo happy today there is nothing that can spoil my mood. If you are a true Gladiator like me, you already know why I am happy.
The long awaited Season 4 of ABC's Scandal returns tonight Thurs 9/8c.
We all know that Ms. Shonda Rhimes runs a tight lip ship so there is very little information to what we will uncover tonight in this cliffhanger, that left us with Olivia, "Livy", if you nasty , being snatched up.
The big question on our minds could this be Papa Pope trying to teach his hard headed baby girl a lesson or maybe it's the double spies responsible for the whole West Angola war attempt.
Of course you know the whole gladiator crew will unite with knight in shining armor Jake, leading the charge. Fitz, Mr. Leader of the free world, who is really just a jealous boy in president's clothing will follow somewhere behind, well, after a glass of bourbon and a short cry to ease his nerves.
This episode's name is "Run" Haven't we heard this call to action before? Maybe we heard this from Papa Pope himself when he warned Olivia to "Run! From the burning building called the white house."
Of course Olivia didn't listen, just like she didn't listen and returned from the island of paradise. Nor did she listen when Mama Pope second her husband in telling her baby girl that she was meant for better than just "being the white house help"
Maybe this time Olivia will get the message loud and clear and stop her childish game of spin the bottle with her two Bo's.
We know better to think Olivia will stay missing for long. All I can say is get home, get dinner done early, break open your favorite bottle of red wine and Run! Don't walk to the flat screen Scandal Is back.

Dusting off the Cobwebs, Finding Me

Wow, I haven't been here for a while. I am not sure why I ever went away, I guess life just happened. So now where do I start (or restart). I liked blogging, I also liked joining in on my YouTube groups.
I think blogging is easier. I don't have the budget for fancy camera and lighting equipment that most YouTube Gurus all have. I really don't see myself purchasing some $500 camera, with Dr. Bills and, one son in college and one family car.

Don't get me wrong, I love to shop with the best of the Diva's. I just do this on a smaller budget and in sporadic moments. Sometimes I am  in a make-up haul mood and others fashion and accessories.
I love a nice handbag, that's my downfall.  But as any good mom knows, the family always comes first and mommy things are somewhere need the bottom of the priority list.

I am always working on this, a happy home means a happy mommy who is not burnt out. I am still a work in progress.

So today I am dusting off , my blogger skills and hitting reboot. I will start with baby steps, one post a week commitment unless I really am in the mood, or I find some lovely followers who motivate me to post more often.
I know you are out there. I know we share common interest, like kids, cooking, budgeting, fashion , and vents.  I don't fit into a neat box, and neither do you. You are not just a mom, a wife, a homemaker. We are so much more and we have big dreams so lets discover and share them together.

9/11 and Heaven

Today is the first 9/11 since the event that was actually on a Tuesday. It sort of feels like the same kind of day. I would have been coming in the train station under the path train and World Trade or in Borders bookstore killing time before going to work near by. But I was home that day, because I was tired and my baby son had a cold. I was at my moms house doing his hair. ( Yes, both my boys are blessed with hair like Samson) Today I just came back from my mom's house in ATL. I am not watching TV. I kind of have giving that up and I don't miss it. Sometimes the news but not really. I still have internet and can get things that way.
On that day 11 yrs ago, my world was rocked. My comfort zone of what I knew and what I thought I knew was totally flipped.
We are not safe here. Who are the real terrorist? It was not who blew up the planes. It was more like the ones that set the explosives in the world trade.

I saw the report of the planes in the air and not responding. I knew from school and everything I saw in movies that the secret service was gonna scoop in an shoot them down. This did not happen.
I called my husband , repeatedly until I got through his upper Manhattan office and told him to turn around and come home. I didn't know what we were gonna do, but we should all be together doing it.

He and his co- workers thought is was a joke that the world trade had a fire going ( from what they could see from their  conference room windows.)  They didn't know it was a plane crash or what was about to come.
The second plane hit, and laughter got serious real quick. My husband heard cries and shouts and said he was on his way home. He didn't get home til 8 hrs later after catching a bus half way then  leading a little  group to walking across the Brooklyn bridge . His navigation skills of being a NY city foot messenger paid off that day.
The most that I remembered was the ash on his clothes, and the feeling of being unprepared.
I am working on not having to feel like that again.
I don't want to remember the deaths, and the anger of pointing fingers.
There are still a lot of unexplained facts, and crooked politics going on. I want to cherish today, just being here. I have my husband, my boys, my mom and her issues  and all my bills.
But guess what, I can see this sunny day. I can smell fall in the air.I can enjoy and try to hold onto the little treasures that are still here around us.  I think that feeling is heaven.
This should have been important that day to us. So today, feels sort of the same, but really its a lot different.

 Strawberry Margaritas

Ok so is it hot enough for you?  In my area we are getting between 96 to 107 degrees.  I am inland and not that close to a beach. Boy do I miss having the Boardwalk at my backdoor, back home.
We use to have one of those backyard pools you get at Costco, but it takes a lot to keep that up. So how have I been keeping cool in these hot days of summer you ask?

Smoothies and lots of healthy drinks. Ok on a Friday some are alcoholic, a girls got to relax sometimes right, lol.

Spring Spree!

Hello Spring,

OK,  I am not doing that great at keeping this blog updated. I guess I have to figure out a way to get some blogging done.  I just put up a YouTube update, Isis2775 (check it out) so this is a follow up to that.

What have I been doing?? Not really much, I finished school now I am looking to make my degree work for me. I have been making little purchases for myself. We really need a new car so I am kind of saving for that.
I really wasn't thinking about spring fashion shopping.  I am more into getting healthy and spiritually good.

I have bought so crystals and some books. I did plant my garden. This year I did the tomatoes, green peppers again. I also planted butter lettuce and spinach. I love green drinks. I will be posting videos on what I put in mine. I also planted okra, cucumbers, peas and green beans and carrots.  I wanted to plant cantaloupe but I need to put in another raised bed.  I have the land just need the man power.

Couponing is my big hobby now. I have my coupon binder and I hope to get the coupon cover tote bag for it. So far my savings are about half off my shopping budget. But I made lots of mistakes. My stockpile is growing . And this is the best part. I understand how to do this. I just have to get out there and take advantage while staying on budget.

Ok I hope all of you have already been to see this movie. If not , what the heck are you waiting for?

For saw many reasons you need to get out and see this one.  First its a true story. This film is based on the trials and tribulations the 1944 Tuskegee Airmen had to go through.  I hope you know that if it were not for them the U.S Military  might have not been totally  integrated. I mean African- Americans played a major role in every war in US history and even the  American Revolution before we were actually the U.S but that didn't matter.

As ugly a cancer racism is, like today, there was still much progress to be made. The government  started one of its social  experiments in letting a few highly educated brothers go into the air-force and get pilot training in Tuskegee. Since we were thrown into war thanks to Hitler and Japan this gave our boys a chance to make some critics  turn more red than they already were and have to eat their words. Should have been some black cooks ( shit pie a la " The Help).

These young men exceeded every non-expectation and then some.

This movie captures every minute of their glorious battles both in the air and on the ground.

With star headliners like Cuba Gooding JR. Terrance Howard, Nate Parker ( that fine brother from The Great Debaters), Ne-yo, David Oyelowo ( the Dr. from  Rise of the Planet Apes) and even Method Man who by the way is a great actor, this movie should have been a winner from the start.
But like the real life story of the  332nd Tuskegee Airman, black actors & actress and in Mr. Lucas's case directors/filmmakers, Hollywood didn't feel the same way. Hollywood  i.e every major film studio turned down the production and the distribution of this film because they feared there wasn't a market for such a black film. See that is why Tyler Perry has his own studio.
Guess what Hollywood ( cracker-wood)  $19 million and counting . Hows that for a market ?

We must remember  we are not sound bite, media,or political party controlled robotics. We know what we like or don't like and we do have a voice.
Use your voice, go take the kids, support this movie.  On your way out if you past by a Occupy protest pick up a sign and if I may take a quote from "Red Tails, Fight, Fight, Fight!

Its a New Day, New Year!

Wow, what happen to the holidays?  It flew by.  OK so we have to make this year a good one. Why you ask? We might not be around after The Mayan predictions of Dec 21, 2012 right?

OK, I am not totally sold on this one. I do think something big is gonna happen or perhaps is already happening.
I think it more about the economic structure collapse than anything. Have you read anything on GDP lately?

The America the Beautiful might be up for sale or having a rent party. What  we the  99% are going through is exactly what the country is going through on a bigger sale. The difference is  for the most  99% its not all our fault.

I don't know if the right thing  to do is what we always do ( at least women) and go shopping or button down and conserve.
For me, and my family we cut back. We are trying to only buy  basics and we are stockpiling food. So far it been going slow. I remember what I had done before 9/11 and how it was then. I am just going back to that set up.
We need reliable transportation. So we will buy that hopefully used and in  cash. We are trying to keep ahead of our bills which is hard in itself.  Cutting back on out cable, Internet and telephone bundle didn't help.
We still have to have a phone line apparently. So really they only took away long distance and caller ID.
I canceled a channel on Direct TV and might do one more we watch movies and Netflix. Our previously low bill went up because hubby had to have HD.
We cook as a family, so we save there. We save eating out to once a month or birthdays.
It just seems harder to make money. Everything is up. I don't know  if anyone besides myself has taken a look at grocery prices but things went up in area the day after New Year's.
So my New Year's Resolution are;

Save where I can. Buy in bulk but not from whole food stores.
Cut down on water bill( wash one full load of dishes a day).
Keep up with extreme coupons ( Not a Pro yet)
Keep up with social networking(Blog, Youtube, Facebook)
Prepare for my graduation and sons.

On  the haul shopping front. Not much. Santa got me a Kindle for Christmas so I want more books for that.
There is nothing trendy I really want. I might need some clothing items but I am really funny about
fashion.

So that's my new info for 2012.

Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas Tree.....

Ok that was last year's tree. It looks kind of empty to me. Hopefully year's tree will be better. First this was last year's Black Friday catch,( the pre-lit tree) I think I payed $29 for it. Ok my husband says thats what a $29 tree looks like.  I think I was just rushing trimming it.  I plan on using the same tree, just more ornamants and more time.
Ok  here is my Top Do List

  1. Get Christmas decorations  out
  2. Buy wrapping paper and bows
  3. Get some more house Christmas  decorations
  4. Look for good sale on Yard inflatable and light up reindeer.
  5. Start Christmas shopping for boys.
  6. Start Christmas shopping  for family & friends.
Ok #4 is because I think my current deers have had it. The still light , I think at least one but don't move anymore. And I really want a large snow globe ornament. And I am going to make sure everything works on the timer. Dear hubby seem to figure this out.

I really want to go to The Container Store, in Raleigh (http://www.containerstore.com). I have never been. I know I should find lots of stuff I can use. I have already been working on home organization. I still have areas to work on. The down stairs bathroom we need a better system for medicine storage and I still would like to have a neat bedroom closet system. So far I am working on  kitchen.

One thing on my list is a gift wrapping storage system. I hate having to get paper for parties or gift bags.  Its so expensive to buy that stuff at the last minute.
On to Black Friday Update
For me it was a bust. I did the 12 midnight run. I went straight to target. I really don't have a big list this year. Kids need clothes, college bound son wants SAT test prep books.  Hubby needs clothes and yard tools.  Youngest son wants video games but will probably only get one and books too.
Education comes first.
The big buys look like XBoxes . Looks like some people went a little crazy for X Boxes. Reports of pepper spraying ran rampant. Come on now is this really worth it?  Keep In mind most of this madness happens at Wal-mart. I have noticed  Wal-mart has no supervision on their crowd control or distribution of Black Friday merchandise.  Its all out WWF  brawl  in there. Target, (did I mention that  is my favorite spots) has sales person in parking lot and standing outside to form lines. I think they staff extra employees that day, they even give you store maps so you know where to look for converted items.
Black Friday shopper who was sprayed in the face while trying to purchase video games in a Los Angeles Wal-Mart.

For me I am not getting hurt or hurting others for a sale. Where is the Holiday Spirit? I was back home in bed by 2 am. My find pajamas for boys. I am still looking for the rest of stuff to finish my list but the sales were not that great. I found that most stuff you can still get now and probably up until Christmas.
Come on now how many Flat screen TV's can one have ???
Well we are off the the start of the Christmas season. Happy shopping, wrapping, and trimming the tree.!

Money, Money, Money!

Ok  well this post is really about saving money. I have been a follower of   TLC's Extreme Couponing show. I have always used some coupons, but not to the point that I have a stockpile or I can buy $400 worth of stuff and walk out of store only paying $20.
Frankly, I don't know if it can be done. And if anyone out there reads this blog and is a coupon pro, drop me a line, I am a willing student.
My goals now are to get as close to those on the TV show as possible.  Some like to play lottery, I think this has better odds. lol
I have already picked up a few tricks of the trade.

  1.  You need to set up a coupon binder. It is so much easier to see what coupons you have. Plus when you are in the store you don't drop coupons looking for others ( dear hubby).
  2. You need to spend some time looking at coupon blogs for match ups. Pick the ones you like and subscribe or put them in your RSS feeds. I like Coupon Divas  http://coupondivas.com/.They will keep you up to date on Store Match- ups, Deals of the day, plus the lingo of coupon.
  3. You need to get coupons. Your newspaper is a start. All You magazine  is better, Ebay is great for multiple coupons. You can add an extra news subscription for a discount. I know you are spending money to get money.  Coupons are money, so its an investment you make back fast.
I also think its addictive. The more I save the more I want to save.  You start to notice sales that you also have coupons for. You stop buying things you don't have a coupon for.

In this economy I want to have a stockpile , you don't know what is gonna happen tomorrow. I have 3 men in my house ( 2 sons & hubby) I can't keep food in here. I hate going to the store every other day. I know that kills any kind of budget I try to keep.

I want to be self sustained .  I want to grow more vegetables and herbs And learn how to re-purpose more things. I want to have money to spend on making memories rather than things.
If I can learn this I can teach others. Each one teach one.

I know I have said it before , but I will post more to this blog and keep whoever reads it up to date.

So hold me to it!

Summer Time , Summer Time

OK, it isn't really summer time yet. But it feels like it. In NC it is hot.
Well, what is up with me????
Work & school, work. That pretty much sums it up. I have recently got a few purchases and put up a few videos on YouTube. I got a webcam, yaay! I want to upgrade my Flip but I hear they are going out of business. That camera is the bomb. I want an HD one with more time.

Any way I promised swatches of  my SUGARPILL Cosmetics haul. so here goes.

Ok this is the best I could do with the swatch. The yellow is Buttercupcake over NYX milk. You can't really see the Absinthe green color beneath it . But that silver glitter line on top is the Lumi.
Ok now I like the Buttercupcake, but it could be more vibrant. I have to build it up.
Absinthe is great on the other hand. These are the loose eye shadows
I might purchase the orange color Flamepoint, but no rush.

Ok other news on the waterfront.... lol
I am  super hyped about

LOC Appreciation Day June 25, 20111!!!  I already order  my T- shirt. I got get one for my soo too.
www.zazzle.com/locappreciationday11

Keep updated about events  on the blog
.http://locappreciationday.blogspot.com

Its not just for loc wearers, but in recognition of locs and natural hair. Our hair has become more than just our hair, naturally. Its a statement whether you want it to be or not. You will get attention good and bad because of your hair style choice. I get stopped or questioned all the time. Most positive. I am not my hair, but me hair is a reflection of me. I am natural, still growing, kind of  always evolving . So my hair does say a lot about me.

Other Updates....

I am growing a container garden , so far, sweet peas, bell peppers, tomatoes,  and string beans. I also got some mint & parsley growing in my kitchen. I am trying to be more self sustainable. If I can grow most of what my family eats that would be a great thing.   I am new at this. I will eventually expand to a raised bed, but I want a year round garden so I have to learn what to plant  so this will be possible.
For fall I am eying sweet potatoes.
But for now I am getting ready for the summer. Anyone know where to get so cute wedges???

Peace & Luv

Life is good, right now.

I  really haven't posted in a while. Between work and school I have been really busy.  Ok now is time I am trying to get ready for Spring. When I say get ready I mean, mind , body and home. I am working on some home improvement's. I need to get back to taking care of me and what makes me happy.
I give so much of myself at work sometimes its draining. When I come home I want to have everything around me comfortable. I want to get back into cooking more to and making stuff.
I am loving school right now. I just want to stay ahead of my work so I have really good grades.
I guess  I have lots of updating  to do here. The Holidays were good. I think my mom was happy. Everyone got what they wanted.
I really want a vacation, with a jacuzzi tub and room service or at least really good exotic tastin food.

That's it for now. I have some gardening ideas and some hauls coming

Bah Humbaug!!!!

Ok , I know I have been M.I.A. Its been really busy for me. I have started an online school. I have stress at the job and wouldn't you know Christmas is right around the corner. I am way behind on my shopping. I have been working overtime to make sure I can afford everything I want to do this year. The only thing is I think I should have started in October. Have you noticed it seems everything was early this year.

Black Friday really started Thanksgiving evening. The great sales are this week. It almost impossible to catch your breathe in all the rush.

Well, I was one of those fools out that @ 4 am Black Friday. Actually I was out at 2 am hoping to be first in line. That did not happen. There was at least thirty people in-line ahead of me @ Target.

Yes, I decided Target over Walmart this year. Target had most of what I wanted I did hit Walmart after. Why, I don't know, but most item were already grabbed up. I met a friend who was a life saver. The flat screens went in seconds this year. She got her hands on two( lucky me).
Where am I at now,

My Christmas To Do List:

Make Christmas cookies ( 25 kinds of cookies like I promised I don't know)
Get 16yr olds gifts
Get both boys new PJ's
Get Mom & Mother -in law gifts
Get Kitchen draws out of shop

Gray

Ok first , I guess I am in a funk. On a political front things are shakey. I voted but lots of others did n't. I am tired with people. They want to complain but do nothing to try to make a change. I personally feel better when a least I try. I am not a democract. I listen to both sides and decide which supports the most issues I agree with. Right now I feel like everything is standing still. I wamt to be out of school. I want to be comfortable with my career. I want to be progressing on home improvements. Everything feels stuck. I might even shut down this blog. No one seems like they read it. Blog world is oversatuated New people can't get any followers. I am motivated by interaction. Its like everything is the same. The color this fall should be gray, it feels like that.
Until next time, peace.

Don't get sick?

Why not, you ask? Because doctors suck! Ok I say this with a grain of salt since I work in the medical field. And I am first in line for the Obama care or just real universal medical care. It is too expense already and why should we be last when every other country has free medical?
But my real complaint is making an appt. Getting there early, having to wait at lest an hour after appt then the dr walks in an takes 5 mins. What is that about?
I mean now to we go to the doctors office to get mugged or what? He could have just said mail me your $30 co-pay and I will text you when I get a chance.
This has happened to me more than once. And I am not one to go to doctors. This just makes it worse.
I know you are out there comment and let me know what you think.

Gaga, BLAH, Blah VMA's

Zzzzz Oh I am sorry, I was still napping from watching the 2010 MTV VMA's on Sunday/Monday.
It encored on Monday , but if you missed it you didn't miss much.

Ok I have to say that was the most boring show ever. Ok for the first female host in 16 years, I am all for girl power but I say give it back to the guys. Chelsea Handler sucked ! ( I wonder who did she actually suck to get that gig?)  She started on a flate note from the begining.  Whats up with the repeated  ball stapling joke???? I guess she ran out of material too. They should have just let Nicki & Kate Perry share hosting. They were funny. They need to do something together.

Now on to Material, Lady G , did not fail to impress. I guess she is a real steak & potatoes guy's type of girl. You can take her out to dinner or she can be dinner.  Check out her Meat Dress with accesserioriesLady Gaga My type of girl, she can really bring home the bacon.

I think her wardobe changes saved the show.

Another let down, they hyped up Kanye West vs Taylor Swift so much, but nothing happened. Kanye doesn't owe anyone anything. And Taylor with her " Innocent"  girl next door act, is so yesterday. Boring.

Everyone knows B, can wipe the floor "Swiftly with Taylor. I am cracking myself up right now. ( haha ha) Overall  show was a bomb, but hey thats my opinion.  And in a Justin Bieber Fever world I don't think it counts a lot. But in my Butterfly Diva world, I could have got some more sleep.

On , on to the next show.

Hatein

(ok this is my Nicki Minja Face)

Ok, I am a playa hater. Why, you ask. I missed the event of the year so far. The Urban Decay One Day Only Sale of their NYC Pallet, Book of Shadows Vol.III.

Sephora's Time Square hosted the event Aug 28. If I was back home, you know I would have been first in line even if I had to get there at 4 am in the morning. (Why didn't I work my connects in N. J to stake out for  me, duhh). The first 1,000 were treated to a first come first serve basis, to lots of samples and full size freebies like the 24/7 eyeliner in Crash. The pallet is the third edition to the Book of Shadows eye shadow pallets. But you get so much more than 16 beautiful colors. You get two eyeliners, and a baby Eye primer Potion. OK it's going price is $54 but, one Urban Decay eye shadow goes for $17.
Like the last Alice in Wonderland Pallet it is all pretty inside. But this one has lights. What would a Tribute to NYC be without Night lights of 42nd ST?
Ok, to all of us like me who missed out. We have to wait til Sept 6. For online sales. My fingers are warming up now. In-store sales will be in OCT.

Other Things I want for Fall List, are denim leggings. I am not into skinny jeans. Or should I say I can't get into skinny jeans. But I can rock some leggings and not look like a stuffed sausage. And these are on sale right now at Kohls for like $29.99.

Hey, where are my comments, what are you looking for this fall? Anybody else got their eye on some make-up or fall fashion styles. Let me know add commets.

Peace & Butterflies!

Good Day!

Ok, this is actually a boring day for me. I mean I  am supposed to be relaxing since I have to go to work tomorrow, but I am looking for something to get into.
I mean I could finish the laundry or finish straighten the electronic stuff like floppy disk and cell phone adapters, but that would be too much like work.

I am currently scouting other blogs that interest me.
I'm evaluating a multi-media course on blogging from the folks at Simpleology.  For a while, they're letting you snag it for free if you post about it on your blog.
It covers:
  • The best blogging techniques.
  • How to get traffic to your blog.
  • How to turn your blog into money.
I'll let you know what I think once I've had a chance to check it out. Meanwhile, go grab yours while it's still free.

I am also looking for ways to organize my kitchen, since we got the plumbing fixed in there.

Meals and grocery shopping is a big deal in my house. I personally don't like to cook in a messy disorganized kitchen. A nice easy to to find things kitchen inspires me.

So far I think I like the Tupperware modular set. But as we know Tupperware is expensive. I will be replacing the Rubber maid  stuff I have with more Premier( no stain) set. The one I have is missing tops or  melted or badly stained with tomato sauce.

Rubber maid had a modular set but I can't find it anywhere.

Oh.... going back to floppy disk, does anyone still use those??? And why do we have so many adapters for everything? How do you organize those?

Hey , give me some advice if you are reading this ( knock, knock , yes you )!

My kitchen is a work in progress. I will put up pics if you want of the transformations.

Comment, there is a button somewhere on here.

Hot Days in the Summer 2010!!!!

Ok I know I know where have I been? Well life has been crazy for me. I had some family issues, then on the up side, I started a new job. Thw verdict is still out on whether I love it or hate ( ha, ha). Right now its paying the bills. So that is always good.  Today is my last day of summer classes so I figured lets celebrate with getting back to my blog.  We have a lot of catching up to do?

Plus , Where are all my readers? is anyone out there??? Write me tell what I am doing wrong, or right or what you want to talk about??

So this is just the hello I am back intro. I hope someone is still out there reading??? I promise to get better . I haven't loss my sense of humor and good topics.

Oh first update , I got the Sprint HTC EVO.  Ok, you had to know I am not a IPhone type of girl. And glad  of it! I think I will put some pics of it and maybe a review.

On the make-up front nothing new. But I am working on that. MAC hasn't impressed me lately. And what happened to HIP Loreal. I haven't seen anyhting new from them lately.

Love Me or Love Me Not?

Ok , its almost valentines day. Are we waiting for loads of chocolate filled lovelys to blow our diets( lifstyle change)? Or are we planning a sexy evening witht that special someone.?
I think the holiday is overrated. Its another day to spend our hard earned money on stuff we don't need. If we truly want to show our love for each other why do we need a special day for that? Why do we have to buy something?
I say give that special someone the gift they really want. The gift of yourself.  Spend time with them doing what they want, share some quiet moments with them. Share your thoughts.
While you are at it, don't forget its important to love your self first in order to know how to love someone else. Take care of yourself on Feb 14, give yourself a big hug and a kiss. And the whole world will see you are loved and hopefully love you back.

On another note.....

I saw this at a website I frequent and thought I would include it here. So here goes.
I saw this at another website and thought it would be nice to do. Here goes.

What’s happening in my home?….

Boredom, since NC got snow last week and more to come this Friday, kids were out of school 3 days. Over weekened we were iced in, and it didn't get much better Monday, Tues or Wed. We watched movies( luv Redbox) and played a little wii & wi Fit Plus. But mostly we were bored. Glad kids went back to school today. I am still bored can't wait to go back to work.

In my kitchen…End of month findings. So cupboard is pretty bare. Making due with whats left. Last night BBQ chicken, tonight tuna casserole.

With our marriage… getting along so far

With the children… Oldest is a real good debater, please let him be rich and famous from this. He definitely has strong views about alot of things. Little one still trying to figure out what he is doing in school.

Around the homestead… Cold, cloudy

In my “Inner Man”….   Not sure about this one.

What is your Inner Man? In 2 Corinthians 4 Paul gives us a clue about what he means when he says “the inner man”. In that scripture he says that “our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day” (4:16 KJV). So for Christians even though there is something about us that is getting old, decaying and deteriorating and dying..there is also something about us that is growing, becoming more alive, richer and stronger every day we live and follow Christ. That is what Paul calls our “inner man.”
